The 1st-Ever Blue Jeuls Give-Away

Just wanted to mention that I'm enjoying all the responses that people are sending in on my Give-Away post (Got Travel?) I answered a few questions in the comments section, but thought it would be good to clarify here.

The prize is for ONE free round trip (which could technically be used by two people to travel one way) for STANDBY travel to any of these destinations.

You only have to share a best, worst, OR most memorable travel experience. Course you're welcome to share all three if you like.

If you haven't got a travel experience, I pity you. Enter anyway. Talk about walking to elementary school 27 miles up a snowy mountain or something. People need to go places!

The rest of the details are in the very long, wordy post, but if you have any questions email me or leave a comment. I promise to explain all the ins&outs to the winner (Oooh...now there's an idea: In & Out! The winner could head west and visit that fine eating establishment. Yummy!)

Oh I am so up for this! I'll be pondering which hair-raising story to enter...

And what a great prize! I would write an essay just for a batch of your English toffee!

Oh! I have a good WORST travel experience ever! On our family trip to Washington DC my 9 yo threw up in my ear in the middle of the night and then he got this mysterious rash ALL over his body, which we thought was bed bugs, then 2 different doctors told us it was scabies and it ended up being Poison Ivy.

Here are my posts about it. http://5rips.typepad.com/growing_baby_3/2007/11/interesting-tri.html

Gee, when I was a kid in Alaska, and my dad was in Viet Namn, they decided to help activate a young man by assigning him to be my ride to Priesthood. So, one January, at about 20 below, I walked to the corner and when he did not show up, walked a few miles to Church.

My mom couldn't get the car started, so I ended up walking home after all the meetings were over (this was before the consolidated meeting schedule).

We weren't too popular, as my dad was in the military and there was a fair amount of resentment, so I walked and people just drove by until I was about half-way home and the stake president stopped and gave me a lift the rest of the way.

That's my "both ways through the snow" story.

My worse experience though, was on Delta when they went to these bread baked with a filling replacements for meals. My wife was pregnant and she got a little nauseous at the food.

So, she asked if they had anything else. Which led to a five minute mocking by the flight attendant, in front of an audience of other flight attendants.

I'm afraid we haven't flown Delta since.
